UW Preview

OK, so far the Beavs are 0-2 when I do these stupid predictions.  But, like Mike Riley, I don’t plan on making any changes.  The Beavs are 3-25 in their last 28 games against the Dawgs, but come off a win in Seattle last year.  The Huskies are winless in the Pac-10 again and have a grand total of 2 wins dating back to the start of last season.  Kick 'em while they're down!

The weather forecast is dreary, wet and windy.  Hopefully this plays into the Beavs hands by letting them focus on the ground game and limiting MM's "opportunities".  If MM gets off to another rocky start we need to see Gunderson.  MAJOR SIDEBAR AHEAD - If not now, when?  4 TD's to 16 picks in Pac-10 play, can it get any worse?  The most disturbing thing about this week was MM admitting he wasn't paying attention to the situation (clock, score, yard line) when he fumbled inside the UA 20 last week.  "I'm just trying to make plays".  Sometimes making a play means not doing anything stupid.  Try it sometime.  End Sidebar.

Sorry, I'm having a tough time getting over last weeks game.

This game is scary as the Huskies come in looking similar to UA last week.  Struggling but hungry and at home.  The Beavs need to win 2 out of the final 3 to secure a bowl birth.  This one is a must as Stanford and UO await.  Let's just keep this one simple.  The Beavs have a good enough run D and a potent enough offense that if they are at worst -1 in the TO battle they win.  If MM decides to play catch with the UW DB's again, the Beavs get rolled.  Here's hoping MM snaps out of it and plays smart.

Beavs - 26
Dawgs - 20
